We Must Put on the Full Armour of God each day!!

Hi Fellow Beliviers.
Yesterday (24/05/08) the Holy spirit brougth to my attention to the verse in the Bible Ephesians 6- 13 to 18 about Putting on the Full Armour of God each day to battle with the devils work, first I was reading a book about Praying that Rebecca lent me and then that night I was reading my
usual nightly reading from Joyce Meyers, and both books metioned this reading so I said to God " What are you telling me this time". I have decided each morning I will as part of my morning worship of Prayer and
reading the days "Our Daily Bread" reading for the day I will read this verse to help me focus on God in the day ahead, then I looked in my Life Application Study Bible
what it had to say and througth I would share that with you as it puts it lovely.

Heading " God's Armour for Us" We are engaged in in a spitirtual battle, all beliviers find themselves subject to the devils attacks because they are no longer on the devils side. Thus. paul
tells us to use Every Piece of Gods armour to resist the devils attacks and to stand true to God in the midst of attacks.

Belt ...... Truth........ The devil fights with lies, and sometimes his lies sound like truth, but only the Belivers have God's truth, whuch can defeat the devils lies.

Body Armour........ Righteousness...... The devil often attacks our heart, the seat of our emotions, self-worth, and trust. God's righteousness is the body armour that protects our heart and ensures his approval. He approves of us because he loves us and sent his Son to die for US.

Shoes.......... Peace that comes comes from the Good News..... The devil wants us to think that telling others the Good News is worthless and hopeless task, the size of the task is too big and negative respones are too much to handle. But the shoes God gives us are motivation to continue to proclaim the true peace that is available in God, News EVERYONE needs to hear.

Shield......... Faith.........What we see are the devils attacks in the form of insults, setbacks and tempations. But the Shield of faith protects us from the Devils fiery arrows. With God's perspective, we can see beyond our circumstances and know that ultimate victory is OURS.

Helmet........ Salvation....... The devil wants to make us doubt God, Jesus and our salvation. The helmet protects our mind from douting God's work for us.

Sword........ Word of God........ The sword is the only weapon of offense in this list of Armour. There are times when we need to take the offensive against the devil. When we are tempted we need to trust in the truth of God's Word.

I think we should all get in the habit of putting our Lord's Full Armour on each day!!!!. God Bless u all.

Well I did it I said My Testimony at Church!!

Well Friends God and Eric at last got me saying my Testimony at today's
Service, it was one of the scariest things I have done, but also the most
uplifting service for God. It went well they say, I just spoke what I felt
from the heart. I had been preparing for it for 3 weeks, wrote out what I was going to say about 5 times, but when it came to it the Holy Spirit had other plans, on Saturday morning I woke up all excited as the Holy Spirit said to forget what I had written out and use 3 hymns from out Church book to use to say what I wanted, I even had a reading from the Bible to confirm it was the
Holy Spirit saying this the reading the Verse Hebrews 3 verse 7 " the Holy Spirit says Today if you hear my voice do not harden your heart" , I read this 10 minutes after the Holy Spirit spoke the idea to me. So this is what I ended up saying( sorry to those reading it that heard me at church).....
The First Hymn was " Jesus you are Changing me" I spoke about how I felt the Lord had made me more Confident to do things like, standing at the door each Sunday greeting people, helping at the Church Cafe and evening volunteer to act in a play at church. Then I went on to say how I worried alot less now, I'm not saying I don't worry at all I'm only human, but if I do worry it not for long as I turn to God in Prayer. So to the 3rd bit I Pray alot more now, in the mornings in my room, on the bus, at work anywhere I feel the need of God to talk to about people who needs prayer or myself. Then I said I had more Love for people the Love of God I want to share to others.
The Second Hymn was " Iam a New Creation" no more in condemnation. Here I said I felt the peace of God in my Life because I felt free of guilt of my past sins, because of Jesus dying on the cross for us.
The Third Hymn was " Here I am Wholly available" , I will serve the Lord.. Here I said how I want to service our Lord in any way he wants me too, from helping out at church to supporting people if down or ill, I want to spread Gods love to any one he wants me to in the Future.
I felt I had said my testimony well and I hope the Lord will be happy, its him that put the words in my mouth.!!!!!
GOD BLESS in your Service Sue.

Just a few Poems from The Friendship Book I Like!

Hi Just What to share I few of my Favouite Poems and sayings from The Friendship Book 2005:;;;;

Don't Tell God you have a big problem. Tell your problem yov've got a big God, and you'll scare it away knowing that Your God is with You!!!

God Be with you in the morning, Guide and bless through the day, fill you with His love and Comfort, bring you strenght along your way. God be with you, when the sunshine like true friendship glows so bright, and when the stars and moon shine gently, God be with you through the night. ( this I pray for you all!)..

It keeps you smiling when everythings seems against you. It keeps you going when up against a brick wall. It keeps you on your feet when you should be down and out. What is it? FAITH. If you have that you don't need anything else.

Faith

Achieves

Impossible

Things

Humlby.

And last one...... Its a sad irony that sometimes, when out hearts are at their most full, we find it hardest to tell God how we are feeling. I pealed to come across the following quote which seems to sau it all; "God understands our Prayers even when we can't find the words to say them". Thats a comforting throught to remember when the problems of the world seem too big to cope with.

The Peace Of God

Hi, I cant believe how must peace and happiness I have felt just latley ( I would say in the last 3 months ). Ten years ago when I was going through my divorce and felt so alone and depressed, if someone had told me I would feel like I feel today I would not of believed them. And it the peace of God in my heart that made it like this.
I feel so great to be me, alive, health, food to eat, water to drink, a lovely family ( even though sometimes they can drive me mad), a loving church family, great friends, a job I like (most of the time!), I am glad I live in England, I know it got crime, but not as much a some countrys, I know its got unemployment, but as much as some counrtys. At least in England we have food to eat, clean water to drink. I thank God every day for these good things in my live.
I know Life cant always be without troubles, but with God on our side we can get through the hard times. And feel his Peace!!!!
I wish all my Family and Friends the Peace of God in their LIVES!!!!
AMEN!!!

God work on the streets of our Town!

Hi all I saw a great thing this morning, was in my local town centre, when I saw 3 lady with bright yellow jackets on with name tag like badges with the words" Prayer Patrol" so I went upto them and asked what they were about, it seems they are members of diffrent churchs in the town who with the help of the police go round the town and if anyone needs prayer or help they will pray for them. Well I througth how great thats how to bring the LORDS work onto the streets what a great service these ladys are doing for the Lord and the people in the town, people who might not even have set foot in a church, or know about God. I thanked to ladys for what they are doing and told them which church I was from.
I felt I had to share this with you all. May the Word and Prayers of God reach the world in any means possilbe. AMEN
God Bless you all who read this.!!!

This is from the same book!

This is from the same book I just been telling you about, its a poem about how Mums can care for they children, but not live their lives, througth it was good and had to share it with you all......

I gave you life, but I cannot live it for you.
I can teach you things, but I cannot you make learn.
I can give you directions, but I cannot always be there to lead you.
I can allow you freedom, but I cannot account for it.
I can take you to church, but cannot make you believe.
I can teach you right from wrong, but I cannot always decide for you.
I can buy you beautiful colthes, but cannot make you lovely inside.
I can offer you advice, but cannot accept it for you.
I can give you love, but cannot force it upon you.
I can teach you to be a friend, but cannot make you one.
I can teach you to share, bu cannot make you unselfish.
I can teach you to respect, but can't force to to show honour.
I can advice you about friends, but can't choose them for you.
I teach you about sex, but can't make you pure.
I can tell you the facts of life, but I can't build your repution.
I can tell you about drink, but I can't say NO for you.
I can comfort you in your pain, but I cannot make you better.
I can warn you of drugs, but can;t prefent you from using them.
I can tell you about lofty goal, but can't achieve them for you.
I can teach you kindness, but I can't force you to be graciuos.
I can warn you about sins, but I cannot make you walk with GOD.
I can teach you about JESUS, but cannot make HIM your savouir.
I can teach you to Obey, but I cannot make Jesus Your Lord.
I can tell you how to live, but I can't give you Eternal Life.

This is so true of all Mums and Dads of Children everywhere. It rang true to me how I can tell Tony and Donna about how I would like them to behavouir, but not make them do it.

God Bless You all who are Parents.

About a book I have read.

Just been reading a book, a true story of a girl in England who was suffering badly with M.E., her and her family and friends were all Christians. Her Mum wrote the book about how the suffering of her Daughter tested her faith and that of the rest of the family, all thougth the book I saw thougth their suffering they still kept the faith in the Lord to help them cope with the girl illness, at first they prayed for her healing, she did improve for a bit, then spilt back to being ill, at times she even found it hard even to get out of bed or wash herself, then they prayed to God that he would give her and them the strength to cope with her suffering illness. It made me think 1) How terrible for the Girl and her family 2) How great it was that they kept their faith in the Lord 3) I felt so thankfull to the Lord that my 2 are so healthy 4) Thankfull to the Lord that I'm in good health. Praise the Lord!!! Through her illness the girl would write things down to help herself. Here is one of the things she Wrote, I wish these word for all my Family and Friends.........

May the peace of God run in and thro' you

Like gentle streams flowing over you

Quieting all fears

Quieting all worries

Releasing the tears

Drowning the torment

May God's peace dwell inside you

Giving inner reassurance to guide you.

AMEN!!!!!!
