God work on the streets of our Town!

Hi all I saw a great thing this morning, was in my local town centre, when I saw 3 lady with bright yellow jackets on with name tag like badges with the words" Prayer Patrol" so I went upto them and asked what they were about, it seems they are members of diffrent churchs in the town who with the help of the police go round the town and if anyone needs prayer or help they will pray for them. Well I througth how great thats how to bring the LORDS work onto the streets what a great service these ladys are doing for the Lord and the people in the town, people who might not even have set foot in a church, or know about God. I thanked to ladys for what they are doing and told them which church I was from.
I felt I had to share this with you all. May the Word and Prayers of God reach the world in any means possilbe. AMEN
God Bless you all who read this.!!!

This is from the same book!

This is from the same book I just been telling you about, its a poem about how Mums can care for they children, but not live their lives, througth it was good and had to share it with you all......

I gave you life, but I cannot live it for you.
I can teach you things, but I cannot you make learn.
I can give you directions, but I cannot always be there to lead you.
I can allow you freedom, but I cannot account for it.
I can take you to church, but cannot make you believe.
I can teach you right from wrong, but I cannot always decide for you.
I can buy you beautiful colthes, but cannot make you lovely inside.
I can offer you advice, but cannot accept it for you.
I can give you love, but cannot force it upon you.
I can teach you to be a friend, but cannot make you one.
I can teach you to share, bu cannot make you unselfish.
I can teach you to respect, but can't force to to show honour.
I can advice you about friends, but can't choose them for you.
I teach you about sex, but can't make you pure.
I can tell you the facts of life, but I can't build your repution.
I can tell you about drink, but I can't say NO for you.
I can comfort you in your pain, but I cannot make you better.
I can warn you of drugs, but can;t prefent you from using them.
I can tell you about lofty goal, but can't achieve them for you.
I can teach you kindness, but I can't force you to be graciuos.
I can warn you about sins, but I cannot make you walk with GOD.
I can teach you about JESUS, but cannot make HIM your savouir.
I can teach you to Obey, but I cannot make Jesus Your Lord.
I can tell you how to live, but I can't give you Eternal Life.

This is so true of all Mums and Dads of Children everywhere. It rang true to me how I can tell Tony and Donna about how I would like them to behavouir, but not make them do it.

God Bless You all who are Parents.

About a book I have read.

Just been reading a book, a true story of a girl in England who was suffering badly with M.E., her and her family and friends were all Christians. Her Mum wrote the book about how the suffering of her Daughter tested her faith and that of the rest of the family, all thougth the book I saw thougth their suffering they still kept the faith in the Lord to help them cope with the girl illness, at first they prayed for her healing, she did improve for a bit, then spilt back to being ill, at times she even found it hard even to get out of bed or wash herself, then they prayed to God that he would give her and them the strength to cope with her suffering illness. It made me think 1) How terrible for the Girl and her family 2) How great it was that they kept their faith in the Lord 3) I felt so thankfull to the Lord that my 2 are so healthy 4) Thankfull to the Lord that I'm in good health. Praise the Lord!!! Through her illness the girl would write things down to help herself. Here is one of the things she Wrote, I wish these word for all my Family and Friends.........

May the peace of God run in and thro' you

Like gentle streams flowing over you

Quieting all fears

Quieting all worries

Releasing the tears

Drowning the torment

May God's peace dwell inside you

Giving inner reassurance to guide you.

AMEN!!!!!!

How 2 get the peace of the Lord from Prayer

I want to share my througths on staying in a peaceful mind by handing all your worrys and fears to the Lord, who cares for us where ever we are.

Each morning I wake up, I thank God for a new day and ask him to guide my steps though the day. Then I read the days verse out of "Our Daily Bread", then I say my prayers, always starting for my family and friends needs and then news items and ending with myself. But my prayers dont end there, when every a worry or someone comes to my mind I will pray for it, before I can worry to much and spoil my peace!.

Can I give you an example, when my son came home today he told me he had a run in with a angry boy on the bus, he sat down in a seat and the boy got mad and said" Aaaaa thats my seat move"!!!!, Tony shouted at the boy and did not move so the boy stormed off and sat somewhere else. Then when Tony left the bus the boy got behind him and got hold of his neck and chocked him a bit. Tony said he wished he had got his key and stabbed him, I said would of made thing worse. He was ok physical when he got home but was mad. Now at one time a day I would get real upset and worried about this. But tonight I told Tony he was right not to do nothing, and then Thanked God that it did not end up worse than it did, and for looking after Tony. Then asked God to look after him again every day and left at that and did not worry about it any more( though Tony was still in a bad mood!!!).

Hope this example has got to the point. God Bless may all my family and friends live in the peace of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirt!!! AMEN

A bit of how GOD helped me in the Past.

Thought I would tell you a bit of how I know God has helped me in my past. The first time I felt God close to me was when I was having a Op for a womens problems and was very worried about it for days before the day I was to go into Hosptial, friends at Church prayed for me, but still I was a little worried, then as I was being wheel down to the theater I prayed for God to look after me and all of a once a peace came over me, I even prayed for a women in the bed next to me( this was in the early days of my Christian walk). The op went ok and I will always remember the closeness I felt to God that day.

In another way God has helped me is when I was looking for a job, it kept praying but could not get anything for a year then I fell ill so was not up to working all day any way, so in a way God knew it was not time yet for the job. Then after a op and a few months to get over it, I looked again and prayed again, after a few months I found the job im in now. At first I had alot of problems settleing into the job, but I and my church friends prayed for Gods help and after 4 months things got alot better, THANKS TO GOD, and now after 2 years there I feel very settled and am respected but I know I could not have done it on my own!.

Since my first closeness to God I have felt I have grown close to him every day. I used to worry about little things alot, but now when I feel myself get like that I hand it over to the Lord and see what happens and feel alot more at peace. I do thank God and also my friends at Church and my family and my best friends who is a Vicar for helping me grow in Gods Grace!!!. I have now ground I can start and do Gods work and help others to get close to him and feel the peace of him.
I hope I have not gone on to much I just want to Praise God for his Help in my life.

God Bless Suex
